Sweet and juicy mangoes bring a lush tropical taste to your summer table. Mangoes are $2-$5 each, depending on variety and size.

Experience the sweet taste of summer with yellow and white-fleshed peaches and nectarines! Grown in the orchards of Victoria and South Australia, these juicy delights are available at your local greengrocer for $3–$10 a kilo, depending on variety and size. Enjoy, honey sweet, low acid donut peaches and nectarines for $6-$15 a kilo.

Blueberries are summer’s little bursts of sunshine. Plump, juicy and naturally sweet, they’re perfect tossed through fruit salads, scattered over yoghurt and pavlova, or enjoyed straight from the punnet on a warm day. Blueberries are top value at $3-$6.

There are more sweet Victorian strawberries around this week so price have come back to $3-$5 a punnet.

Juicy, blushing apricots make a delectable healthy snack. Serve roasted or poached apricots with turkey and chicken or whip up a batch of spicy chutney to serve with cheese char-grill apricots and add to a leafy salad. Apricots are $5-$12 a kilo.

Add crunchy, naturally sweet grapes to a salad or cheese board. New season seedless grapes are crunchy and available in green, red and black skinned varieties. Prices are ranging from $8 to-$25 a kilo, depending on variety.

Limes bring instant lift to summer cooking, adding brightness to salads, seafood, marinades and grilled meats. A squeeze at the end of cooking sharpens flavours, balances richness and keeps dishes tasting fresh and vibrant. Limes are great value at 50c-$1 each for a kilo bag is $4-$6.

Exotic and refreshingly sweet, fresh lychees are a summer treat. Store lychees, in a sealed plastic bag in the refrigerator. Sweet, floral and fleeting, lychees never stay long so enjoy them now. Lychees are $20-$40 a kilo.

Magnificent, sweet eating, Victorian and Tasmania cherries are a delicious seasonal treat that you don’t want to miss out on this week. Expect to pay $10-$30 a kilo. Premium quality, large sized, Tasmanian cherries are impressive and worth every cent. Whip up a batch of cherry cupcakes for afternoon tea.

Low-kilojoule, vibrant, and flavour-packed salads are a must this time of year, especially if you’ve made a New Year’s resolution to eat healthier. Salads should be anything but boring—add plenty of texture and top with a homemade dressing to take your salad to the next level.

Broccolini is a summer staple, quick to cook and perfect for light meals. Toss it on the barbecue or flash-blanch and dress with lemon, olive oil and parmesan for an easy, vibrant side. Pick up a bunch for $2.50-$3.

Summer is the perfect season to celebrate tomatoes, from sweet bite-sized cherry and grape varieties ($3-$6) to generously sized, soft-textured heirlooms ($8-$14 a kilo) bursting with flavour and colour.

Sweetcorn is so versatile, delicious barbecued, microwaved or boiled. Cook and remove kernels from the cob, then add to salads or fritters. Both golden and super sweet bi coloured corn are selling for80c-$1 a cob.

Eggplant is a summer holiday hero. From smoky barbecue slices and colourful antipasti platters to vibrant salads and mezze-style dishes, eggplant adds richness and depth without feeling heavy. Look for smooth, firm eggplants with glossy, satin-like skin that feels heavy for its size priced at $4–$7 per kilo.

Toss together a spicy cucumber salad to serve with barbecued chicken or fish. Team thinly sliced Lebanese cucumbers with green onions, coriander, mint leaves and a diced chilli, then toss in a dressing made with 2tbs kecap manis, 1tbs white vinegar, 2tbs caster sugar and ¼ cup marin. Lebanese cucumbers are selling for $4-$6 a kilo.

Crisp and crunchy bok choy (pak choy) is top value at $1.50-$2.50 a bunch. Steam or stir fry until just tender and toss in sweet soy sauce and chilli.

Add a burst of colour and cheer to your home or office with a vibrant bouquet featuring flowering gum, sunflowers, hydrangea, lisianthus, zinnia, dahlias, cosmos, sweet William, ginger flowers, pineapple lily, sea holly, delphinium, anthurium lilies, celosia, bouvardia, tuberose, oriental lilies, water lilies, amaranthus, lupins, lotus pods, and a lush mix of greenery. To keep your blooms looking their best, trim the stems and refresh the water every couple of days.
