FRUITS

Boost your health with a burst of flavour—grab some fresh blueberries today for a delicious and nutritious snack! Standardblueberries are a savvy buy this week at $3-$4 a punnet, jumbo blueberries are $5-$6 a punnet.
Australian Kensington Pride and R2E2 mangoes are in season, and their quality and price are improving weekly. These succulent and flavourful mangoes are perfect for adding to smoothies and salads or enjoying fresh on their own. Don't miss out on these delicious options. Mangoes retail at $5-$8 each, depending on variety and size.
Juicy, golden-fleshed pineapples are a spring favourite adored for their tangy-sweet flavour. The best-tasting pineapples have a sweet-tropical aroma and feel heavy for their size. Pineapples range in price from $4-$6, depending on size and variety.
Plump Queensland-grown salad tomatoes, depending on size, cost $3-$5 a kilo. Truss tomatoes, left to ripen a little longer on the vine, have a fuller flavour and are $5-$8 a kilo. Remember to store tomatoes out of the refrigerator and use them once they are bright red and slightly softened.

Quality snow-white cauliflower offers good value at $2.50-$4 a head, depending on size.
This week, Zucchinis are a good buy at $2.50-$5 a kilo. Mild in flavour and highly versatile, zucchinis are colourful, low carbohydrates, gluten-free and contains valuable fibre. This recipe for Mexican-style stuffed zucchini with avocado mash is a fun and tasty way to enjoy zucchini.
Crisp bunches of spring Victorian-grown celery, depending on size, are a good buy at $2-$4.

As the weather brightens, there's no better way to enjoy a healthy and satisfying lettuce salad topped with your favourite homemade salad dressings. Iceberg lettuce is $2-$3 ahead.
Green onions (or shallots) are plentiful and top value at $2-$3 a bunch, depending on size and quality. Sliced crunchy bulbs and leaves are ideal in Asian dishes and salads and as a substitute for leeks in any recipe.

This week the pick of the bunch includes ranunculus, freesia, sweet peas, stock, pierus, daffodils, tulips, roses, anemones, daffodil, tiger lilies, berzelia, baby's breath, Queen Anne's lace, poppies, yellow and purple iris, gladioli, hellebores, oriental lilies, carnations, cherry blossom, poppies, alstroemeria and loads of interesting foliage.
