Fresh fruit smoothies

Papaya & banana smoothie
1⁄2 small papaya (about 350g), peeled, deseeded and chopped
1 banana, peeled and halved
11⁄2 cups reduced fat milk
200g tub reduced fat honey yoghurt
Step 1 Place all ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth.
Step 2 Pour into serving glasses and serve.
Strawberry & banana smoothie
250g strawberries, hulled
1 banana, peeled and halved
200g reduced fat berry yoghurt
11⁄2 cups reduced fat milk
Step 1 Place all ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth.
Step 2 Pour into serving glasses and serve.

A good source of vitamins B6 and folate. Vitamin B6 is needed for the body's nervous system and folate is important for making red blood cells. A source of antioxidant vitamins E and C (vitamin C also helps protect us against infection). A good source of dietary fibre and also provides potassium.
